What makes you sparkle? Over the past months, I have been reflecting on many different aspects of sparkle, from centering with meditation to focusing on nourishment to showing love to ourselves. Sparkle shows up in many forms, which is why I adore it so much, and why I continue my practice to untap my sparkle. By exploring sparkle in new ways, we provide our very human selves with the chance to find new ways to sparkle brighter and brighter.
In 2018, one of my intentions is to own my magic, which is a new way that I am supporting my sparkle.
What does it mean to own my magic? As I shared in my previous post:
It can be easy to get caught up in work, schedules, and to do lists, which may lead to feeling a bit like a robot. While my work, responsibilities, and to do lists have their place, I own my magic by recognizing that there is so much more than the routines. I am actively embracing the woo-woo, the whimsical, and all those small yet significant moments and practices that remind me that we are tiny creatures spinning on a big blue ball flying through space. I love to find meaning in all of it, and to me, that brings the synchronicity, sparkle, and magic.
In this first week of the New Year, I have already witnessed moments where I allowed my magic to fall to the wayside. Responsibilities, expectations, and pressure have been holding my attention and energy hostage. I have been finding myself getting stressed, overwhelmed, and ungrounded. How can this be? I just set the intention to OWN MY MAGIC!
It turns out, just like the process to untap your sparkle, owning magic take practice. We are all messy humans. Life can feel beautiful, overwhelming, delicious, frantic, relaxing, and stressful. I happened to feel all of this in just the first few days of 2018! Owning my magic means checking in with my energy, desires, and myself. Recognizing that I can pause, play, and slow down strengthens my magic and my sparkle. Being aware that I am multi-faceted in my identity reminds me that I can refill my wellness cup when it starts to run dry. I am not simply a coach, student, consultant, partner, or friend. I am all of that plus so much more. I am sparkle and magic in human form.
How do you own your magic and sparkle?
Throughout this week, particularly when the anxious energy was attempting to take over, I am pausing to practice a few of my favorite playful pastimes.
- Creating a gratitude list filled with colorful emojis – inspired by Gala Darling’s #UnicornCleanse
- Spending time in a mermaid themed visualization and meditation
- Relaxing with crystals on my chakras, especially those that are vibrating with a need for attention
- Spending inspiring time with individuals who are supporting my personal and professional development
- Reading my AstroTwins 2018 Horoscope Guide & Planetary Planner
- Grounding practices such as listening to medicine songs from my friends at Wild Playground
- Taking luxurious showers where I visualize the water in a rainbow of colors rolling over my body and washing away the stress, tension, and anxiety
- Creating my #YearAheadSpread with the Wild Unknown Tarot and Animal Spirit Deck cards
- Exploring new recipes to experiment with from Whole30 Fast & Easy
Dreaming about the possibilities of a new year is fun and inspiring, but also has the potential to send us down a rabbit hole of “should-ing” all over ourselves.
As a reminder, we are exactly where we are supposed to be. Nourishing your soul with play, magic, and sparkle is allowed to be a priority. Everything will happen exactly how it is supposed to. Even if life feels uncomfortable at times, know that the lessons you are learning in the process will serve you as your dreams fall right into place.
Are you seeking guidance to untap your sparkle? Have you committed to making 2018 more magical? Let me know. There is nothing I adore more than walking with another person as they explore the practice of prioritizing joy, strengthening vitality, and sparkling more than they ever dreamed possible.
