Whole30 + 5 = Whole35
As mentioned here, turning 35 is prompting me to face my fears and further explore the deep, juicy, wild being that is… me. I have been untapping my sparkle for a long time, and it is time to step up my game to bring that sparkle to the next level. 35 is going to be my #yearofintuition, and one of my first steps of this process is to clear my vessel.
The best way I know how to set the foundation? Whole30.
As you may already be aware, I love Whole30. Doing a Whole30 gives me energy, confidence, and relieves anxiety in ways I never would have believed if I hadn’t experienced it for myself.
For my #yearofintuition, I will be kicking off the “clear the vessel” portion with a Whole35. I mean, I am hitting that glamorous middle aged milestone, so why not push myself a little further?
For 35 days, beginning Monday, August 14th, I will follow the Whole30 rules exactly.
Eat real food
Avoid the following for 30 (35!) days
- Do not consume added sugar, real or artificial.
- Do not consume alcohol in any form
- Do not eat grains
- Do not eat legumes
- Do not eat dairy
- Do not consume carrageenan, MSG, or sulfites
- Do not consume baked goods, junk foods, or treats with “approved” ingredients
Do not step on the scale or take any body measurements for 30 days.
Just to flip it and reverse it, what will I be eating?
- ALL THE VEGETABLES
- Clean/organic (when possible) meats
- Coconut, avocado, and olive oils
It may appear to be a short list; trust me, it is delicious.
